Cupa wave Bolga basket
Story
Traditionally the tribal farmers in Africa use baskets in their villages to collect and store grain. They are created by the ancient practice of weaving natural fibre such as Ilala Palm, Sisal, Seagrass and Cane reeds.
The Cupa wave Bolga Basket is a colorful and striking, functional work of art. Traditionally used as colanders, separating millet from water these baskets are exclusively woven by the indigenous Gurune people of the town of Bolgatanga, the crafts center of Ghana. The weavers create the pattern, texture and layers. Colors are created with natural organic vegetable and mineral dyes. Whilst we maintain a high standard of production and quality control within the weaving groups, we equally celebrate the individual and their craft. The beautiful baskets add the perfect touch of soul to your home or commercial project.
This basket wave makes a great gift basket to brighten up your home!
